Last week was very busy again...now I feel like I can breathe because my schedule dies down significantly from now on really until the end of the summer. Child care is just about over. I have VBS, but I have gotten a lot done for that already and it's just little stuff. I am amazed how relaxed I feel now that my schedule is much lighter. Even with Rob being gone in St. Louis, I expected stress, but I have been feeling peace. I miss him, but I think God orchestrated he would be gone this late in the spring at a time when most of my child care and church responsibilities are over. Last week I swam Wednesday morning with the triathletes, swam at VB's lake Thursday night which was awesome (I can swim open water!), and then ran 3 miles Friday. Saturday & Sunday we were at Tadmor and very busy...lots of walking. Yesterday I gardened a good part of the day. My exercise is very limited with Rob gone. My hope is to be able to bike one day, Group Power one day, run at the track one day, and possibly open water swim one day. If that's all I can do this week, I will be happy. I can pick it back up again when Rob is home.
OK so now it's Sunday and here's what I did this week. Monday - no exercise but lots of gardening. Tuesday - I biked at Minto Brown Park for about an hour. Biked with clips and it helped the park was not very busy. The rain held off and it was a great ride. Wednesday - took Kara with me to the gym. Felt slightly guilty about not driving for the play rehearsal, but they did have enough drivers. With Rob gone, I can't do everything. I went to Power and it was so good to be at Power again. I did all the push ups on my toes. My arm muscles are so much stronger from swimming & gardening. Kara did great in the child care. Thursday - no exercise, kind of a busier day. Friday - no exercise, child care kids here all day. Last Friday of child care. Saturday - took all three kids with me to the gym. Derek & Hailey went to Kids Strong and Kara to child care. All three did so well--no complaints. I swam for about 40 minutes and it was good to be in the water...did a workout off Swim Plan. Sunday - open water at VB's lake. Weather was perfect today and Shauna texted me last minute and wanted to take the kids. So sweet of her. I swam about half hour. I still don't swim in a straight line and was veering off, but I am doing so much better. Hoping to swim with the triathletes once school lets out.
Good week of exercise even with being solo mom. :) I have help Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday this coming week and can take kids to the gym again on Friday...maybe even Thursday too.
